LS-RP June 2007 - 19 years
One of my earliest memories dates back to being a teenager coming home from school and immediately jumping on my computer just to play LS-RP with my friends. Throughout the years, many of us have built lifelong friendships. We've seen countless players come and go, and we've witnessed many different eras of LS-RP both good and bad. Needless to say, I'm proud that we're still standing as a community that loves this server just as much as we did all those years ago.
When I first started this revival project, to be frank, I didn't have high hopes. I never expected that just three months later we'd have such a large community come together, still believing in what LS-RP could become.
Unfortunately, seven months ago, Mmartin decided to pull the plug on the SA-MP server once again to focus on reviving LS-RP. Many of us already had an idea of how that would turn out. As time went on, I gathered a group of like-minded people who were just as dedicated to both the community and the server. Together, we brought countless ideas to the table on how to revive the LS-RP we all once knew and loved.
For the past three months, we've worked every single day to bring LS-RP back. After countless hours of development and preparation, we're finally ready to open our doors once again.
As part of this new chapter, we've introduced several changes to make everything more transparent. This includes creating better communication between the staff team and the community. One of the first steps we've taken is introducing a new Community Engagement Poll system, allowing players to have a direct voice in what gets added to or removed from the server. We believe this is the first step toward earning back your trust and the trust of the entire community.
This time, we're doing things differently, including bringing back some of the classic LS-RP systems many of you remember. One of the biggest structural changes is the removal of the separate Legal Faction Team and Illegal Faction Team. These have now been merged back into a single Faction Team. This decision was made after carefully considering the issues many of us witnessed during the previous run of LS-RP. A special thanks goes to Head of Factions Marat_Gusarov along with the rest of the Faction Team and Council, who have worked tirelessly to perfect the new Rules of Engagement and other faction-related concepts. As mentioned in the Discord announcement a few days ago, we unfortunately won't be launching with a UCP. However, don't worry—we're actively working on it and it remains a top priority.
